Faith is complete trust and hope, even in the face of evidence to the contrary. Unlike WILL and DESIRE, faith is not a fundamental component of our inner-make up (i.e. umwelt). When we want to have the power of faith in our world, we must grow it there. We grow and nourish faith by feeding it and we feed it by making use of it. As we feed our faith, it grows... yes, it is really that simple.

Faith is an essential component of our personal self-empowerment and psyche management quests. It is vital that it be applied correctly. Faith operates from deep inside our believe system. Since faith is directly connected to our believes, we must approach it with our eyes wide open. Once fostered, faith is the primary tool we will use in our transition from one state of awareness to another. The proverbial "leap in faith" is a leap, because we are - for the time being - not actually connected to anything. We have to let go of the believes that we leap from and "not yet reached" what we leap to. Thus, being momentarily out of our own control, which could be quite a nerve wrecking experience when we do not have faith.

From a purely practical standpoint, faith is used to fill in the little cracks of opposition and uncertainty as our believes change. There is always some time of disorientation, when our believe system is either adapted, changed or replaced by another. Faith is used to stabilize this transition. For example: We place our faith in the ability of our sub-conscious to deliver the desired results on a problem that we experience and we stick with it, until it takes us where we want to be and/or acquire the "solution" to a problem.

Where we place our faith is where we look for fulfilment... there are of course various degrees of faith. We have faith in modern science, when we try a new machine or piece of technology. We have faith in a cook, when we eat a meal. We have faith in ourselves, when we explore or venture into uncharted waters. We have faith in personal growth, when we aspire. We can place our faith in objects, systems or in other people. Where we put our faith is where it will grow. Be careful - however - of any physical thing that we give our faith to, it will eventually let us down. Nothing mortal (i.e. in the physical plain) lasts forever. Only the transcendental, spiritual and that which is sustained by our Creator, does that.

Confidence and faith are not the same thing. Confidence is where we know something will work, because it has been done before; and it is proven that it works. Faith - on the other hand - determines our confidence level if we approach and deal with the unknown. It is easy to confuse faith and confidence at times, but they are completely different in the face of the unknown. Confidence cannot exist without a known factual basis. Faith requires almost no structure at all. Faith only requires an inner decision to believe in an outcome that is not clearly known or understood... yet. Facts are not necessary to have or sustain faith.

Key Faith is the very foundation of our self-worth and it helps us to over step the restrictive boundaries of the reality in which we find ourselves at the present moment.
